Background information about 'Infernum Infinitum'

Austrian black metal horde Sanguis delivers their second full-length assault with "Infernum Infinitum", a relentless journey through the darker corners of extreme metal. This Styrian outfit crafts a sonic landscape that's both ferocious and surprisingly melodic, blending the raw intensity of uncompromising black metal with subtle Swedish melodic influences that add unexpected depth to their sound. The album showcases the band's evolution from their debut, presenting eight tracks of pure aggression that never lose sight of memorable songwriting.

From the explosive opener "Chaos Unleashed" to the haunting German-language track "Ode an den Schmerz", Sanguis demonstrates their ability to balance brutality with atmosphere. The production maintains that essential raw edge while allowing the melodic elements to breathe, creating a perfect storm of Nordic-influenced tremolo picking and blast beat devastation. Tracks like "My Heart Is Ice" and "The Serpent-Kiss" exemplify the band's knack for weaving ice-cold melodies through walls of distortion, while "Fear My Vengeance" and "Edifying Agony" close the album with unrelenting fury.

For fans of: Dissection, Watain, Marduk and Dark Funeral.
