Concrete Cold

From the dystopian turmoil of the Corona era rose CONCRETE COLD like an apocalyptic bastard of death, doom, and sludge metal. What began as creative necessity during times of societal standstill developed under Daniel Jakobi's leadership (ex-Lay Down Rotten, Milking the Goatmachine) into one of the most promising new forces in German extreme metal. The band's completion through his longtime musical companions Johannes Pitz and Jost Kleinert, along with new allies Dennis Barmbold and Philipp Becker, created a formation that's both experienced and hungry for new sonic territories.

After just one year of intensive songwriting, CONCRETE COLD's vision manifested in the local Fatknob Studios under the proven direction of jack-of-all-trades Fernando Hermansa, who's already responsible for Knife, Milking the Goatmachine, and countless other productions. The resulting debut album "The Strains Of Battle" is a true monument of heaviness – a merciless fusion of death metal aggression, doom-laden monumentality, and sludge-typical viscosity. Even before recordings were fully completed, Supreme Chaos Records caught wind of the band's potential and secured the services of this promising formation. "The Strains Of Battle" stands for uncompromising brutality in times of upheaval.
