Background information about 'Lovedrive'
Some records just hit you square in the chest the moment the needle drops, and Lovedrive is exactly that kind of album. Released in 1979, this is the record where Scorpions stopped being a promising German hard rock act and became a genuine world-class force. The opening riff of Loving You Sunday Morning is pure sunshine-injected swagger, and from there the band barely lets you catch your breath.
