Background information about 'Saivo'
Tenhi delivers another masterpiece of atmospheric folk with „Saivo", an album that captures the mystical essence of Finnish nature like few others can. This collection of twelve tracks weaves together traditional folk elements with ambient soundscapes, creating something that feels both ancient and timeless. The band's signature approach to melancholic beauty reaches new heights here, with each song flowing seamlessly into the next like chapters in a woodland fairy tale.
The album's centerpiece, „Haaksi", stretches across nine mesmerizing minutes of pure emotional depth, while tracks like „Uloin" and the closing epic „Siniset Runot" showcase the band's ability to build tension and release it in waves of breathtaking beauty. The Finnish lyrics add an extra layer of mystique, even for those who don't understand the language – the emotion transcends any linguistic barriers. This isn't just music; it's a journey through misty forests and forgotten legends.
