Background information about 'Crowned Unholy'

The Crown delivered one hell of a statement with "Crowned Unholy", an album that stands as a testament to Swedish death metal supremacy at its most ferocious. This 2004 release finds the band channeling pure aggression through eleven tracks of relentless brutality, opening with the atmospheric "Introduction: House Of Hades" before unleashing the devastating "Crowned In Terror". The production is crisp and punishing, allowing every blast beat and razor-sharp riff to cut through with surgical precision.

What sets this album apart is the band's ability to balance technical prowess with raw, unbridled fury. Tracks like "Under The Whip" and "World Below" showcase their mastery of tempo shifts and crushing breakdowns, while "The Speed Of Darkness" lives up to its name with lightning-fast execution. The vocal delivery is absolutely savage, complementing the instrumental chaos perfectly. The bonus DVD adds tremendous value, featuring live performances that capture the band's explosive stage presence, including classics like "Deathexplosion" and "Total Satan".
