Udo Dirkschneider, the man with arguably the most distinctive snarl in the business, delivers yet another slab of no-nonsense, riff-driven metal that feels like a punch in the gut from the very first track. The album kicks off with „The Embarkation“, a short atmospheric intro before „Mission No.X“ explodes into a galloping, anthemic crusher that sets the tone perfectly. Tracks like „24/7“ and „Mean Streets“ are pure, unfiltered U.D.O. – razor-sharp riffs, pounding drums, and that unmistakable, gritty vocal delivery that sounds like gravel wrapped in leather.

What makes „Mission No.X“ stand out in U.D.O.'s extensive discography is its relentless energy and tight songwriting. The production is crisp and punchy, letting every bass drum kick and guitar chug land with maximum impact. „Primecrime On Primetime“ is a standout with its mid-tempo stomp and catchy chorus, while „Eye Of The Eagle“ brings a more melodic, almost epic feel without losing any of the aggression. „Shell Schock Fever“ and „Stone Hard“ are classic U.D.O. bangers that could have easily fit on any of the band's early masterpieces.
