Background information about 'Le Pouvoir de la Puissance'
Following the phenomenal success of their gold-certified album "Panzer Surprise", French metal maniacs Ultra Vomit return with "Le Pouvoir de la Puissance" (The Power of Power), their fourth full-length offering in 25 years of existence. This 2024 release packs 16 hits and what the band cheekily describes as "1 piece of crap" across 17 tracks of metal that's simultaneously powerful and wonderfully lazy. Producer Fred Duquesne has crafted a massive sound that perfectly complements the band's huge riffs, creating a sonic experience that hits like a freight train.
What makes this album truly special is Ultra Vomit's ability to balance serious metal prowess with deeply deplorable lyrics that inject humor into life's existential crises. The band describes this as a "veritable Metal bomb" that gets defused by their trademark comedic approach, bringing joy to listeners navigating the darker aspects of existence. It's this unique blend of crushing heaviness and laugh-out-loud moments that has made Ultra Vomit such a beloved force in the French metal scene.
For fans of: Andreas & Nicolas, Mass Hysteria, Tagada Jones and anyone who loves metal with a sense of humor
