Sweden's Wolfbrigade have never been a band to sit still, and "Howl From Underground" finds them doing what they do best: tearing forward at full throttle while somehow keeping a melody lodged in your skull. Wolfbrigade understand that speed alone is cheap; the real damage comes from dynamics, from the moment the tempo drops and the whole thing turns ugly and heavy before exploding again. The production keeps the grit intact while letting the low end breathe, so the record hits hard on a decent stereo and hits even harder loud. It is the sound of a band three decades deep and still hungry, still pissed, still writing anthems for the people down in the pit rather than the people in the boardroom.
