Background information about 'Howl From Underground'

WOLFBRIGADE have never been a band to sit still, and "Howl From Underground" is the sound of a machine that has been tuned, tightened and let off the leash once again. The Swedish institution built its name on that unmistakable d-beat gallop, and here it comes roaring back with the same filthy urgency that made their early records so vital, only this time wrapped in a production that lets every bass string rattle and every snare crack land like a fist on a table. There is dirt under the fingernails of these songs, and that is exactly the point.

What keeps this record gripping is the way the band balances pure velocity with genuine songwriting. Tracks shift gears without warning, guitars trade razor-wire riffs for brief, almost melodic passages, and the vocal stays a raw, throat-shredding bark that never once feels like a pose. It is crust punk played by people who still mean every word, and that sincerity is what separates them from the legions of imitators. The rhythm section is an absolute bulldozer, and the whole thing has the energy of a basement show that somehow got captured with real clarity.

"Howl From Underground" is a reminder that this corner of heavy music is alive, angry and still evolving. It does not reinvent the wheel, and it does not need to, because the wheel is spinning fast enough to take your head off. Crank it loud, and let the howl do the rest.
