Background information about 'Let The World Burn'

Thirty-plus years after Eternal Nightmare turned the Bay Area thrash scene on its head, VIO-LENCE are back with a five-song haymaker that lands exactly where it should: square in the jaw. "Let The World Burn" is short, mean and gloriously unbothered by trends — no reinvention, no softening, just riffs sharpened to a killing edge and a rhythm section that plays like it has something to prove. Sean Killian still spits his lines like a man narrating the end of days from a burning rooftop, and the guitar work is a masterclass in controlled chaos: whiplash palm muting, dive-bomb squeals and the kind of mid-tempo stomp that makes a pit move as one organism.

What really sells it is the restraint. Five tracks, no filler, no bloated intro, no pointless instrumental. "Flesh From Bone" opens the record at a dead sprint and never lets the pressure drop, while "Upon Their Cross" and the title cut trade speed for sheer weight, all thick low-end and gang-shouted venom. It is the sound of veterans who know precisely how much damage a three-minute song can do when every part is placed with intent. Thrash this lean and this furious does not come around often anymore — this is the real thing, played by the people who helped build it.
