Background information about 'Iron Gag (B-Stock)'
A Life Once Lost delivers an absolute crusher with "Iron Gag", a sludge masterpiece that hits like a sledgehammer wrapped in molten steel. This Philadelphia quintet has crafted something truly devastating here - eleven tracks of pure sonic brutality that showcase their evolution from hardcore roots into something far more sinister and compelling. The opening salvo of "Firewire Joyride" sets the tone immediately, while tracks like "Wanderer" and "All Teeth" demonstrate the band's ability to balance crushing heaviness with unexpected melodic moments.
What makes "Iron Gag" so special is how A Life Once Lost manages to channel their aggression into something coherent and purposeful. Songs like "Worship" and "Meth Mouth" showcase their knack for writing hooks that stick despite the overwhelming heaviness, while the closing trio of "Others Die", "Silence", and "Ill Will" provides a devastating finale that leaves you breathless. This is sludge metal at its most uncompromising - raw, emotional, and absolutely crushing.
