Background information about 'Epigrama'
Lithuania's Erdve have been quietly sharpening their blade since 2016, and with Epigrama, they've delivered something that feels less like an album and more like a slow-motion collapse you can't look away from. This isn't your typical sludge-metal slugfest — it's a meticulously constructed meditation on entropy, regret, and psychological erosion, wrapped in eight tightly interwoven compositions that refuse to let go.
The band has gone all-in on total authorship here: every note, every harmonic shift, every lyrical detail was produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered by the band themselves. The volatility of their earlier work has been internalized into something far more dangerous — controlled tension, deliberate pacing, and dense atmospheric weight that builds and suffocates in equal measure. From the crushing grief of "Nyra" to the irreversible acceptance of "Svertas", the record unfolds like a journey from doubt to clarity through complete collapse. This isn't a moment captured. A process is endured.
