Background information about 'Stack Overflow In Corpse Pile Interface'
The sixth full-length from Britain's most distinctive black metal outfit, "Stack Overflow In Corpse Pile Interface" finds A Forest Of Stars deeper in their peculiar realm where Victorian gothic meets modern dystopia. This isn't your typical Norse-inspired black metal – these West Yorkshire conjurers have birthed something uniquely British, a sonic manifestation that feels like industrial revolution machinery grinding against spectral violin strings.
What sets this album apart is the haunting interplay between Curse's recitative vocals – reminiscent of electro poet Anne Clark after a steady diet of prescription drugs and rusty nails – and Katheryne's ethereal violin work. Queen of the Ghosts builds beautiful bridges over the dissonant churning of electric guitars, creating moments of sublime beauty amid the chaos. The band's temporary hiatus wasn't wasted; they even discarded an entire finished album to craft these six perfect tracks that showcase their complex, catchy, and completely individualistic approach.
