A Forest Of Stars deliver the answer with "Stack Overflow In Corpse Pile Interface", their sixth full-length that stands as a monument to what they rightfully call 'British Black Metal'. This isn't your typical Scandinavian frost-bitten affair – this is something altogether more twisted, more theatrical, and infinitely more fascinating.

The Leeds collective have outdone themselves here, crafting an album that's equal parts chaotic and catchy, dissonant and beautiful. Curse's recitative vocals channel the spirit of electro poet Anne Clark through a filter of prescription drugs and rusty nails, while Katheryne's violin work as Queen of the Ghosts builds stunning melodic bridges over churning electric guitars. The band's temporary hiatus proved fruitful – they even discarded an entire finished album to start from scratch, such was their quest for perfection. The result is pure A Forest Of Stars: complex, contradictory, and completely individualistic.
