With their seventh full-length "Nocturne", Hexvessel delve into the mystical realms between light and darkness, capturing the essence of solitude and nature. Known for their ever-shifting soundscapes, this Finnish ensemble has beautifully rekindled their roots in folk and psychedelic rock. The album is a tapestry of acoustic interludes, cosmic synths, and ethereal piano pieces woven together on a black metal loom. "Nocturne" bridges tradition with innovation, echoing past influences while boldly progressing forward.

Inspired by a commissioned performance at the Roadburn Festival 2024 titled "Music for Gloaming: A Nocturne", this album emerges as a fully realized masterpiece. Its sonic journey fuses Quorthon's raw black metal spirit with the intricate minimalism akin to composers like Philip Glass and György Ligeti. Enriched by guest appearances from luminaries such as Saara Nevalainen and Yusaf Vicotnik Parvez (DHG/DØDHEIMSGARD), Hexvessel's audacious blend invites listeners to partake in an otherworldly nocturnal ritual.
