Background information about 'Harakiri For The Sky MMXXII'
The Austrian atmospheric black metal duo Harakiri For The Sky delivers a thunderous rebirth with this complete re-recording of their debut album. What makes this release absolutely electrifying is the addition of Krimh from Septicflesh behind the kit, bringing his devastating precision and power to these already haunting compositions. The original melancholic beauty remains intact, but now it's amplified with crushing drum work that elevates every moment to spine-tingling heights.
From the opening devastation of "Lungs Filled With Water" to the nihilistic depths of "Drown In My Nihilism", this re-imagined masterpiece showcases how brilliant songwriting can be transformed when paired with world-class musicianship. The atmospheric passages still breathe with that signature melancholy, but Krimh's thunderous contributions add layers of intensity that make you feel like you're experiencing these tracks for the very first time. It's a perfect marriage of the band's depressive black metal roots with crushing modern production values.
