Background information about 'Nowhere In Between Forever'
Lantlos have done it again! "Nowhere In Between Forever" represents a stunning evolution for the project that once dwelled in black metal's shadowy corners. Mastermind Markus Skye has crafted something truly special here – a sonic journey that captures what he calls "The Unfathomable Lightness of Being" with breathtaking precision. This sixth studio album takes the trajectory established on "Wildhund" and pushes it into uncharted territory, blending the glittering optimism of '90s alternative rock with subtle undercurrents of darkness that remind us of the band's blackened origins.
What makes this album so captivating is its deliberate duality. Tracks like "Daisies" and "Cherries" shimmer with an almost pop sensibility, yet there's that hollow plastic feeling Skye mentions – a foreboding shadow that prevents this from being mere nostalgia. The digital sonic elements from the millennium's final decade are woven seamlessly into Lantlos' current sound, creating something that feels both timelessly beautiful and eerily prophetic. From the hypnotic pulse of "Numb TV Superstar" to the ethereal closer "Windhunter", every track here is a certified killer with no filler in sight.
