Background information about 'Monuments to Absence'

"Monuments to Absence" stands as a poignant testament to Fen's atmospheric mastery, weaving haunting melodies with intense black metal elements. This album transports listeners through a narrative of existential contemplation, echoing the desolation and introspection of its inception period during 2019 and 2020. The band has meticulously crafted each track to build a sonic landscape that is both expansive and intimate, marked by intricate guitar work and profound lyrical depth.

Recorded at Foel Studios and mastered at Skyhammer Studio, the album benefits from a production quality that enhances its thematic gravitas. With compositions like "Scouring Ignorance" and "To Silence And Abyss We Reach," Fen continues to push the boundaries of atmospheric black metal, blending raw emotion with technical prowess to deliver an immersive listening experience.
