Background information about 'Epoch'

Fen have always existed in that strange, mist-shrouded space between black metal's fury and something far more expansive, and "Epoch" is where that vision fully crystallises. This is the sound of the East Anglian fens themselves — vast, windswept, and shot through with a melancholy that feels older than the hills. From the opening swell of "Epoch" to the staggering closer "Ashbringer", the band weave tremolo-picked gusts of guitar through passages of genuine, aching beauty. There's a patience here, a willingness to let a riff breathe and bloom, that sets Fen apart from the blast-beat hordes.

The Watcher's vocals shift between a searing, desperate rasp and moments of clean, almost hymnal delivery, while the rhythm section moves with the slow, inevitable pull of a tide. By the time "Carrier Of Echoes" unfolds its ten-and-a-half-minute arc, you're fully submerged in their world, and honestly, you won't want to come up for air.
