About the album

"The Palingenesis" represents Morast's dive into the abyss of Blackened Doom Metal. Crafted during the isolative constraints of the pandemic, this EP houses two tracks that echo an overwhelming sense of confinement and a descent into darkness. The band continues their journey through shadowy corridors of sound, where every note is steeped in melancholic reverberation. The EP introduces Z. as the new vocal force, known for his previous work with Nagelfar and Endstille, adding a layer of raw intensity to Morast's haunting compositions.

Recorded by Leonardo Bardelle and mixed by Andy Roscyk at Goblin Sound Studio in late 2020, "The Palingenesis" delivers an audial experience that is both oppressive and liberating. It captures the band's evolution as they embrace their dark roots while exploring new sonic territories. This release is a testament to Morast's dedication to crafting music that transcends traditional boundaries, drawing listeners into a world where doom and despair reign supreme.
