Black vinyl in gatefold sleeve.

Background information about 'Reaperdawn'

"Reaperdawn" marks a stellar debut from In Aphelion, a project that emerges from the shadows with an atmospheric take on black metal that's both haunting and mesmerizing. The album weaves together eight tracks of cosmic darkness, beginning with the brief yet powerful "The Fields in Nadir" and culminating in the epic eight-minute journey of "Aghori". Each composition feels like a voyage through interstellar void, where melody and brutality dance together in perfect harmony. The production strikes that sweet spot between raw black metal authenticity and modern clarity, allowing every tremolo-picked passage and blast beat to cut through the cosmic atmosphere.

What really sets "Reaperdawn" apart is its ability to balance aggression with genuine emotional depth – tracks like "A Winter Moon's Gleam" and "When All Stellar Light Is Lost" showcase the band's knack for creating moments of genuine beauty amidst the chaos. The album's centerpiece, "They Fell Under Blackened Skies", demonstrates In Aphelion's mastery of dynamic songwriting, building from whispered beginnings to crushing crescendos. This isn't just another black metal release; it's a carefully crafted journey through darkness that rewards both casual listeners and genre devotees alike.
