Belgian death metal masters Aborted unleashed their most devastating statement with "Retrogore", their ninth studio album that served as both a celebration of the band's 20-year legacy and a memorial for the true essence of death metal. This critically acclaimed masterpiece received overwhelmingly positive reception upon release. The album marked a significant milestone for the band, showcasing their evolution while maintaining their signature brutality.

Featuring relentless brutality, gut-wrenching drums, buzz-saw guitars, and guttural vocals deep from the abyss, "Retrogore" delivered in spades while introducing darker atmospheric elements and sinister melodiousness courtesy of the guitar duo Mendel bij de Leij and Ian Jekelis.
