Background information about 'Constellation / My Angel'

When Norwegian avant-garde masters Arcturus unleashed "Constellation / My Angel", they delivered a mesmerizing collection that bridges their early black metal foundations with their later experimental brilliance. This compilation serves as both a nostalgic journey and a testament to the band's fearless evolution, featuring rare gems and alternate versions that showcase the creative genius behind one of metal's most innovative acts.

The collection opens with the haunting "Rødt Og Svart" and flows through atmospheric masterpieces like "Icebound Streams And Vapours Grey", each track revealing layers of complexity that have made Arcturus legends in the extreme metal underground. What makes this release particularly special are the rehearsal versions and early takes that offer fascinating glimpses into the band's creative process. The inclusion of "The Chaos Path" in pre-production form and various rehearsal recordings transforms this from a simple compilation into an essential archaeological dig through Arcturus' sonic evolution.
