Nocte Obducta

With “Hammergeddon 666 - Die Katakomben betritt man nicht allein”, NOCTE OBDUCTA make a powerful and captivating return. This new EP once again demonstrates the unbroken creativity and experimental spirit of the band that has had a profound influence on the German black metal scene for decades.

On the first side of the EP, NOCTE OBDUCTA take us back to their musical roots, inspired by the groundbreaking album “Schwarzmetall (Ein primitives Zwischenspiel)”. The new tracks “Hammergeddon”, “Schorm”, “Blut, Bier, Dunkelheit” and “Faustphisto” reflect the raw intensity and untamed power that has characterized the band since their beginnings. These tracks embody the essence of the early NOCTE OBDUCTA sound, which has grown over the years and reached a new dimension through the band's creative development.

On the second side of the EP, listeners can expect an impressive masterpiece with “Auf wortlosen Fluren”, the third part of the series “Gemälde derer, die schieden”, which continues a narrative all of its own. This overlong composition is far more than just a musical piece; it is an epic sound journey that immerses the listener in a world of atmospheric density and haunting emotionality. With a remarkable complexity, a soundscape unfolds that musically goes beyond the boundaries of black metal and lyrically is unique with its lyrics written in German.
