ATLANTEAN KODEX · The Course Of Empire | BLACK TAPE

Black music cassette with six panel inlay including all lyrics. Limited to 200 copies.

Background information about 'The Course Of Empire'

There's a moment on "The Course Of Empire" where the guitars open up like a cathedral door and everything you thought you knew about epic metal gets swept away in a single, glorious riff. Atlantean Kodex have always been the band that treats heavy metal like sacred architecture, and here they build something that towers over the landscape, all crumbling empires, ancient oaths and melodies that feel like they were carved into stone centuries ago. This is the sound of a band who read their history books by candlelight and then plugged in the amps.

What makes this record so special is the patience of it. Nothing is rushed. Twin guitars weave around each other with the kind of chemistry that only comes from years on the road together, while the rhythm section rolls forward like a slow, inevitable tide. The vocals carry that unmistakable storyteller's gravitas, half bard, half prophet, and the choruses are the sort that make a room full of strangers raise their fists as one. There's sweat and dust in these grooves, and a genuine sense of awe that most bands in this style can only dream about.

It's heavy, it's heartfelt, and it's the kind of album that rewards you more with every single spin. Pressed on tape with a six panel inlay featuring all the lyrics, limited to 200 copies, this is one for the collectors and the true believers alike. Grab it while it's here.
