Background information about 'Acts Of The Unspeakable'
The sickening second chapter of Autopsy's legendary death metal rampage! "Acts Of The Unspeakable" stands as one of the most uncompromising albums in extreme metal history, where the San Francisco death metal legends pushed their already twisted sound into even more grotesque territories. This 1992 masterpiece captures the band at their most depraved and creative peak, delivering a sonic assault that's both musically sophisticated and utterly repulsive.
From the opening meat grinder of "Meat" to the closing coffin lid of "Walls Of The Coffin", Autopsy crafts a horror soundtrack that makes classic B-movies seem tame. Chris Reifert's drumming is absolutely monstrous here, switching between blast beats and doom-laden crawls with surgical precision, while his vocals reach new levels of ghoulish depravity. The guitar work weaves between crushing riffs and eerie melodies that'll haunt your nightmares for weeks.
