Background information about 'Czernaya Liturgiya'
This is absolutely mind-blowing - Batushka has delivered something truly special with "Czernaya Liturgiya", their very first live album that captures the raw, mystical energy of their legendary performance. Recorded during that haunting October night of Samhain 2020 for the Colombian Festival Rock al Parque (one of South America's massive music festivals), this extended version packs nearly 70 minutes of pure atmospheric black metal perfection. The band has added four additional tracks to the original live stream, making this an essential piece for anyone who wants to experience the spine-chilling atmosphere of Batushka's ritualistic performances from home.
What makes this release so incredible is how it preserves that sacred, almost otherworldly quality that Batushka brings to their live shows. The high-quality sound production lets every haunting melody and crushing riff breathe, while the Orthodox chanting and liturgical elements create this immersive wall of sound that's both beautiful and terrifying. From the opening "Znamiennyj Raspiew" through the epic closing "Liturgiya", every moment feels like a religious experience - but one that's been filtered through the darkest corners of extreme metal.
For fans of: Mgła, Blaze of Perdition, Uada, and Batushka
