Background information about 'Ghadam'
Malta's death metal veterans Beheaded return with their seventh full-length offering "Għadam", delivering another crushing blow to the extreme metal scene. The album showcases the band's signature blend of technical brutality and atmospheric darkness, with tracks like "Xtrajt L-Infern" and "B'Niket Inħabbru L-Mewt" demonstrating their mastery of complex song structures wrapped in relentless aggression. The Maltese lyrics add an exotic flavor to their already distinctive sound, creating an otherworldly atmosphere that sets them apart from their contemporaries.
The nine-track journey takes listeners through a labyrinth of crushing riffs, thunderous drums, and guttural vocals that have become Beheaded's trademark over their decades-long career. Songs like "Il-Kittieb" and "Jidħaq Il-Lejl" showcase the band's ability to balance technical proficiency with memorable songwriting, while maintaining the raw intensity that has earned them respect in the underground death metal community. This latest offering proves that Beheaded continues to evolve while staying true to their brutal roots.
For fans of: Morbid Angel, Immolation, Hate Eternal, and Vader.
