Background information about 'Fatum'
"Fatum" is the kind of record that grabs you by the collar in the first thirty seconds and refuses to let go. Bright Curse have always had a taste for the heavy and the hypnotic, and here they lean into both with a confidence that feels earned rather than borrowed. The riffs roll in thick and slow, dripping with fuzz, while the rhythm section locks into grooves that swing as much as they crush. There is a warmth to the production that lets the guitars breathe, so the wall of sound never turns into a shapeless blur. Instead, every riff has a shape, every chorus a hook, and every quiet passage a purpose.
What makes "Fatum" stick is the songwriting discipline underneath all that volume. These are not jams strung together for the sake of a long player; they are songs with arcs, with tension built and released at exactly the right moment. The vocals sit somewhere between a snarl and a chant, carrying melodies that burrow in deep after a couple of spins. There are moments where the band pulls back and lets a single guitar line shimmer in the dark, and those moments make the next eruption hit twice as hard. It is heavy music made by people who clearly love heavy music, and that joy is contagious from the first needle drop to the last fade-out.
