Background information about 'On Fowl Of Tyrant Wing'
Belgian speed metal pioneers Bütcher return with their third full-length album, "On Fowl Of Tyrant Wing," continuing their relentless assault on the senses. Known for their explosive blend of speed, thrash, heavy, and black metal, Bütcher's latest offering is a masterclass in old-school metal fury. The album kicks off with a blistering side A, delivering a ferocious mix of NWOBHM influences interwoven with classic hard rock and the sinister undertones of black metal. The opening tracks set a ferocious pace, reminiscent of the golden era of 80s metal.
Side B takes listeners on an unexpected journey through a concept-driven narrative, showcasing Bütcher's ambitious musical vision. Here, tempo shifts and intricate melodies take center stage, enriched by non-traditional instruments like sitars and organs. This bold exploration into progressive territories doesn't stray far from their roots but rather enhances their unique sound. "On Fowl Of Tyrant Wing" stands as a testament to Bütcher's ability to balance traditional and innovative elements, promising to captivate both fans and critics.
