Background information about 'The Weeding'
Cannabis Corpse unleashes their most devastating harvest yet with "The Weeding", a brutal death metal masterpiece that proves these weed-obsessed maniacs have evolved far beyond their parody origins. What started as a stoned tribute to Cannibal Corpse has morphed into something genuinely terrifying – a full-blown assault of crushing riffs, relentless blast beats, and vocals that sound like they're emanating from the depths of a smoke-filled hell.
From the opening carnage of "Shit of Pot Seeds" to the suffocating brutality of "Sickening Photosynthesis", this album delivers uncompromising death metal savagery with a twisted sense of humor that never undermines the sheer musical violence. The production is crystal clear yet devastatingly heavy, allowing every bone-crushing riff and thunderous drum hit to pummel listeners into submission. Andrei Bouzikov's artwork perfectly captures the band's demented vision – a grotesque celebration of both botanical obsession and extreme metal worship.
