Background information about 'Celestial Death'
Dutch futurist metallers CRYPTOSIS return with a powerful and striking follow-up to their acclaimed debut album "Bionic Swarm" from 2021. Their second album, "Celestial Death," spans 11 tracks over 42 minutes, showcasing the band on a darker, heavier, melodic, and intensely cinematic journey. Mixed by Fredrik Folkare (Chrome Studios) and mastered by Tony Lindgren (Fascination Street Studios), the album delivers a sonic experience that is both immersive and intricate. The artwork by Eliran Kantor adds a visual layer of depth and intricacy.
In "Celestial Death," CRYPTOSIS explore themes of transcendence and existentialism through an intricate blend of progressive metal elements. The tracks transition seamlessly from ferocious riffs to haunting melodies, offering listeners an encompassing experience of soundscapes that are both intense and expansive. The band's ability to merge storytelling with complex instrumentation sets them apart in the metal scene, making this release a must-listen for fans who appreciate depth in their music.
