Background information about 'Grind Over Matter'
Swedish death metal veterans Defleshed return with vengeance on "Grind Over Matter", delivering a crushing assault that proves their 20-year hiatus hasn't dulled their razor-sharp edge one bit. This album is pure adrenaline-fueled brutality, packed with relentless riffs, thunderous drumming, and the kind of savage intensity that made them legends in the extreme metal underground. Tracks like "Bent Out of Shape" and the title track "Grind Over Matter" showcase the band's signature blend of technical prowess and raw aggression, while cuts like "Dear Devil" and "Blastbeast" demonstrate their ability to craft memorable hooks within the chaos.
The production on this record is absolutely crushing - every blast beat hits like a sledgehammer, every guitar tone cuts through the mix with surgical precision. Songs like "Blood Well Spent" and "Last Nail in the Coffin" are instant classics that'll have metalheads throwing devil horns from the first listen. Defleshed proves that sometimes the best things are worth waiting for, delivering an album that's both a triumphant return and a statement of intent for the future.
