Background information about 'Angelwhore'

Angelwhore, Desaster’s iconic Black/Thrash album, is back in a stunning red tape edition! Featuring uncompromising riffs and relentless energy, this release captures the raw power that defines Desaster. Limited to 100 copies, the tape comes with a unique trading card. A must-have for collectors and fans of underground metal.

Since 1988, Desaster has stood for unfiltered truth in metal: raw energy, honest aggression, and uncompromising intensity. Inspired by bands like Venom, Bathory, and Slayer, they’ve carved out a sound that channels the fury of the old school with their own relentless edge. There’s no room here for overproduced studio tricks or polished mainstream tones – instead, Desaster delivers razor-sharp riffs, thundering double-bass barrages, and vocals that embody the pain and fury of the underground. This is metal born from the guts of the scene, created for fans who live and breathe metal with every fiber of their being.

Over the years, Desaster has cemented their place as one of the leading forces in Black/Thrash. Angelwhore is a true manifesto of destruction, where chaotic intensity meets deadly precision. 666 - Satan’s Soldiers Syndicate is nothing short of a declaration of war, packed with unrelenting energy and raw aggression. With The Arts of Destruction, Desaster shows how epic extreme metal can be without sacrificing its crushing power – an album as challenging as it is exhilarating. And then there’s The Oath of an Iron Ritual: a return to their roots and a modern classic all at once, combining anthemic moments with merciless ferocity.

Now, these four masterpieces are finally available in a form that will make every underground fan’s heart race: Cold Knife Records is releasing them as strictly limited red tape editions, each capped at only 100 copies. For collectors and die-hard fans, there’s also the ultimate offering: a handcrafted wooden box featuring laser-engraved Desaster artwork, containing all four albums on black tapes, an exclusive leather patch, and trading cards for each release. This isn’t just music – it’s pure cult, a monumental piece of Black/Thrash history that belongs in every serious collection. If you live for metal, there’s no excuse – this is Desaster in its purest form. Eternal metal, raw, authentic, and indestructible!
