Germany's extreme metal veterans Desaster return with their most diverse offering yet in "Kill All Idols", a programmatically titled assault that showcases three decades of refined brutality. While their previous effort "Churches Without Saints" delivered the classic Desaster formula fans have come to worship, "Kill All Idols" ventures into more adventurous territory without sacrificing an ounce of their signature ferocity.

What makes this album particularly thrilling is how Desaster seamlessly weaves their punk roots into the fabric of their established sound. The epic passages that have become their trademark are still present and accounted for, but now they're complemented by rawer, more immediate moments that recall the band's earliest influences.
