Background information about 'The Moth'

Devin Townsend presents "The Moth", an ambitious rock-opera over 10 years in the making. This monumental work features the North Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and Choir alongside an all-star cast including Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa), Darby Todd (Jordan Rudess, The Darkness), James Leach (SikTh), Anneke Van Giersbergen (The Gathering), and Lynn Wu (OU). After being premiered with a full live performance in 2025, this masterpiece is now officially released in all its glory.

The album spans 24 tracks across nearly 70 minutes of pure progressive brilliance, weaving together orchestral grandeur, crushing heaviness, and moments of delicate beauty. From the enigmatic "Semi-prologue" through the epic "Covered By Causes" to the touching finale "We Don't Deserve Dogs", Townsend has crafted nothing less than a career-defining statement.
