Product information "DOOL · Oweynagat | BLACK LP"

Black 12" vinyl maxi.

Background information about 'Oweynagat'

Dool ventures into the shadowy realms of Celtic mysticism with this haunting maxi single that feels like a sonic pilgrimage through ancient Irish landscapes. The title track "Oweynagat" – named after the legendary Cave of the Cats in County Roscommon – weaves together crushing doom passages with ethereal melodies that seem to channel the very spirits dwelling within those sacred limestone chambers. Rianne Walther's vocals soar between whispered incantations and powerful proclamations, while the band's signature blend of progressive rock and gothic doom creates an atmosphere thick with otherworldly presence.

The companion piece "Inside The Cave Of The Cat" serves as both continuation and deeper exploration of the mystical narrative, diving further into the archaeological and spiritual significance of this ancient portal between worlds. Here, Dool showcases their remarkable ability to transform historical folklore into visceral musical experiences that resonate with modern listeners while honoring the timeless power of these ancient stories. The production captures every nuanced detail, from the subtle ambient textures to the thunderous low-end that seems to rumble from the earth itself.
