Mat McNerney has unleashed something truly ferocious with Scorpion Milk, his latest venture that feels like the natural evolution of everything he's been building since Beastmilk's legendary "Climax" album. "Slime Of The Times" is apocalyptic post-punk at its most visceral - a searing commentary on our increasingly dystopian reality that hits like a sledgehammer wrapped in barbed wire. McNerney's vision draws from the decaying spiritual core of UK anarcho-punk and 80s post-punk, creating an opus that's both nostalgic and urgently contemporary.

What makes this album absolutely electrifying is the stellar lineup McNerney has assembled. Tor Sjödén from Viagra Boys brings his thunderous drumming, while Nate Newton of Converge and Cave In delivers crushing bass lines. The real jaw-dropper? Guest appearances from Killing Joke's legendary Big Paul Ferguson and Will Gould of Creeper taking lead vocals on "She Wolf Of London". Recorded at Pine Hill Studio in Finland and mixed by Wayne Adams at Bear Bites Horse in London, the production perfectly captures the raw, explosive energy that defines McNerney's self-coined genre.
