There is something wonderfully absurd about a band that hides its faces behind papal vestments and still manages to write choruses you cannot shake for weeks. "Rite Here Rite Now" captures Ghost at the peak of that contradiction, a full concert document pulled from the band's debut feature film and pressed onto wax as a proper live album. What lands here is not a tidy greatest-hits run-through but a sweaty, theatrical ritual: the congregation roaring back every word, the organ swells, the twin guitars trading off like they are arguing about theology.

The sequencing is the real triumph. Opening with the instrumental march of "Imperium" before crashing into "Kaisarion" sets a tone of grand, slightly ridiculous ceremony, and from there the record refuses to let up. "Cirice" still hits like a slow-motion hammer, "Call Me Little Sunshine" swings with a sinister groove, and "Mary On A Cross" has never sounded more like a stadium singalong than it does in this room. The chamber version of "If You Have Ghosts" offers a breath of genuine eeriness, while "Miasma" and "Square Hammer" close the whole thing out with the kind of euphoric release that makes you want to flip the record straight back to side one. A live album that actually earns its place on the shelf.
