Background information about 'Scream'
The Prince of Darkness returns with vengeance on "Scream", Ozzy Osbourne's eleventh solo studio album that proves the metal legend still has plenty of fire left in his belly. Working alongside producer Kevin Churko (who's crafted sonic landscapes for everyone from Five Finger Death Punch to Disturbed), Ozzy delivers a collection that balances his classic theatrical darkness with modern metal sensibilities. Tracks like "Let Me Hear You Scream" and "Soul Sucker" showcase his unmistakable vocal prowess, while the haunting "Life Won't Wait" demonstrates his ability to weave introspective moments into his trademark mayhem.
What makes "Scream" particularly compelling is how it bridges generations - Tommy Clufetos brings thunderous percussion that would make John Bonham proud, while Adam Wakeman (son of Yes keyboardist Rick Wakeman) adds layers that enhance rather than overshadow Ozzy's commanding presence. The album's 14 tracks flow seamlessly from bone-crushing anthems to more nuanced compositions like "Latimer's Mercy", proving that even decades into his career, Ozzy continues to evolve while staying true to his roots as metal's most iconic frontman.
For fans of: Black Sabbath, Dio, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Alice Cooper
