Background information about 'Fever'
Graveyard have always sounded like a band pulled straight out of some smoke-filled, amp-cranked basement in 1971, and "Fever" finds them running hotter than ever. There is a restless, almost feverish energy running through these songs — the kind of heat that builds when four musicians lock into a groove and simply refuse to let go. The riffs are lean and mean, the rhythm section swings with a swagger that most modern rock bands have completely forgotten, and the vocals come down like a man howling at the moon from the wrong side of midnight.
What makes "Fever" so addictive is the way it balances raw blues-rock muscle with genuine songwriting craft. These are not just jams strung together — every track is a compact, burning little story that gets in, makes its point, and leaves you reaching for the repeat button. The production is warm and organic, letting the guitars breathe and the drums crack like a whip. It sounds alive, spontaneous, and gloriously unpolished in all the right ways. This is music made by people who clearly love the sound of a tube amp pushed to its breaking point.
If you have ever lost yourself in the heavy, soulful rock of Witchcraft, Horisont, Blues Pills, or the mighty Kadavar, then "Fever" is going to feel like coming home. Graveyard have once again proven they are one of the most vital bands in the retro-rock revival, and this record burns with the kind of conviction you simply cannot fake.
