Background information about 'Reflect to Rewind: A Rarities Collection'
Thirty years deep and still running hot, Dozer have gone back into their own vaults and come out with a double album's worth of treasure. "Reflect to Rewind: A Rarities Collection" gathers the b-sides, singles and forgotten studio strays that never quite fit on a proper record, and somehow it plays like a greatest-hits set from a parallel universe. That is the trick these Swedes have always pulled off: even their leftovers rumble with the same sun-baked, fuzz-drenched swagger that made them Scandinavia's reigning desert rock institution.
The real story here is the care taken with the material. Longtime collaborator Karl Daniel Lidén went track by track through the archives, remastering each piece so nothing sounds like a dusty tape pulled from a shoebox. Instead, the riffs breathe, the low end hits with real weight, and the grooves swing exactly the way they should. You can hear a band refusing to treat its own history as an afterthought. For anyone who has followed Dozer through their back-to-back North American tours and their 30th-anniversary celebrations, this is the missing chapter, and it lands with the force of a proper album rather than a scrapbook.
