About the album
Enshroudment's debut EP "As The Light Is Extinguished" ushers listeners into an abyss of funereal doom and death metal desolation. The Durham-based band crafts an atmosphere dense with despair and crushing melancholy, reminiscent of the early works of Anathema and My Dying Bride. Each track is a journey through sorrowful soundscapes that resonate with haunting depth.First conceived in 2017 and brought to fruition by Good Morning Records in 2021, this three-track opus showcases Enshroudment's mastery in blending mournful melodies with the relentless weight of doom metal.
