Background information about 'The Pendulum EP'

Swedish doom metal legends Candlemass return with "The Pendulum EP", a compelling collection that showcases both new material and previously unreleased gems from the band's vault. The title track "The Pendulum" demonstrates the band's continued mastery of their signature sound - crushing riffs, theatrical vocals, and that unmistakable sense of impending doom that has defined their career for over three decades. It's a testament to Leif Edling's songwriting prowess and the band's ability to evolve while staying true to their roots.

The real treasure here lies in the five unreleased demo tracks that follow, including "Snakes of Goliath", "Sub Zero", "Aftershock", "Porcelain Skull", and "The Cold Room". These demos offer fans a rare glimpse into the creative process of one of doom metal's most influential bands, featuring raw yet powerful performances that highlight the band's songwriting evolution. Each track carries the weight and atmosphere that Candlemass is renowned for, with Johan Längqvist's commanding vocals soaring over the band's trademark heavy, melodic arrangements.

For fans of: Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Solitude Aeturnus, Trouble, and Cathedral.
