Pagan Altar return from beyond with "Never Quite Dead" - and honestly, what a fitting title for one of doom metal's most legendary cult acts! This isn't just another comeback story; it's practically a resurrection tale that'll give you chills. The band that helped define the mystical side of NWOBHM back in the late '70s proves they've still got that otherworldly magic flowing through their veins, even after the tragic loss of founding vocalist Terry Jones in 2015.

What makes this release so damn compelling is how seamlessly new vocalist Brendan Radigan (you know him from Magic Circle, Sumerlands, Savage Oath) steps into those massive shoes. His somber, haunting delivery pays perfect homage to the Pagan Altar legacy while bringing his own distinctive touch to tracks like the Rainbow-influenced opener "Saints and Sinners" and the absolutely crushing doom epics "Liston Church" and "The Dead's Last March." The emotional climax "Kismet" will leave you speechless, and don't even get me started on the beautiful folk instrumental "Westbury Express" - it's pure mystical & magical vibes that transport you straight back to ancient England.
