Digipak CD. Double CD.

Background information about 'Architects Of A New Weave'

Evergrey have never been a band to sit still, and "Architects Of A New Weave" finds Evergrey doing what they do best: tearing down their own blueprint and rebuilding it bigger, darker and more ambitious than before. This is a double album in the truest sense, a sprawling two-disc journey where Tom S. Englund's unmistakable voice carries you through stormy riffs, aching melodies and arrangements that keep unfolding long after you think you've figured them out. The guitars bite hard, the keyboards add a cold, cinematic shimmer, and the rhythm section drives everything forward with a restless, hungry pulse.

What makes this record so rewarding is how confidently it moves between moods. One moment you're swept up in a towering, anthemic chorus, the next you're lost in a quiet, brooding passage that feels like staring out at a rain-soaked city at night. Tracks like "Welcome To The Pattern" and "The Shadow Self" set the tone early, while the title cut and "The World Is On Fire" deliver the kind of dramatic, emotionally charged metal that has kept this Swedish outfit vital for decades. Disc two doesn't feel like leftovers either, it deepens the story, offering its own highlights and a sense of closure that only arrives when the final notes fade.

There's craft here, real craft, and a willingness to take risks that most bands in this lane simply don't have anymore. It's heavy, it's melodic, it's got heart, and it rewards repeated listens in a way that few modern metal records manage.
