Background information about 'Paragon'
Floor Jansen has spent years commanding the biggest stages in metal as the voice of Nightwish, but "Paragon" finds her stepping out into a light all her own. This is the record where the powerhouse vocalist peels back the layers and lets her own songwriting take center stage, and the result is nothing short of breathtaking. From the first note, you can feel the weight of experience behind every phrase — this is a singer who knows exactly how to make you hang on every word.
What makes "Paragon" so special is the way it balances the epic with the intimate. Jansen's voice has always been an instrument of staggering range, but here it feels more personal, more vulnerable, more human. The arrangements breathe, the melodies soar, and there are moments of sheer, spine-tingling beauty that remind you why she is regarded as one of the finest voices in contemporary music. It is confident, emotionally rich, and deeply rewarding with each listen.
