Gràb's sophomore album "Kremess" encapsulates both continuity and transformation within the Bavarian black metal scene. Fronted by Grànt, the project continues to weave stories and traditions in the dialect of the German Alpine region. The album title, translating to 'funeral feast,' signifies the omnipresent theme of death. Musically, it introduces traditional instruments like the dulcimer alongside early Nordic black metal influences from bands like Gehenna, Ulver, and Darkthrone. It also draws inspiration from German pioneers Nagelfar and Lunar Aurora. With new guitarist Gnàst replacing former songwriter Grain, fresh ideas permeate the music. Guest musicians from bands such as Empyrium, Triptykon, and Dark Fortress further enrich the soundscape.

Founded by former Dark Fortress frontman Grànt, Gràb infuses black metal with a distinctly Bavarian essence. The initial collaboration between Grànt and guitarist Grain led to their debut album "Zeitlang" in 2021, reviving the spirit of early black metal to acclaim from critics and fans alike. With "Kremess," Gràb amplifies their Bavarian black metal with renewed vigor that promises longevity.
