Background information about 'Peace'
There are bands that chase trends, and then there are bands that simply are the bluesy, smoke-drenched heart of rock 'n' roll. Graveyard have always belonged to the second category, and with Peace they prove it all over again. After the more experimental detours of their recent work, the Swedes dig deep and strike gold by circling back to the spirit of their beloved Hisingen Blues record. Peace is the missing link, the album that ties together the raw, dirty, straight-ahead energy of their earlier days with the dreamier, more expansive textures they've explored since.
From the very first notes of "It Ain't Over Yet" you can practically smell the whiskey and the worn leather. Joakim Nilsson's voice is in top form, all gravel and soul, while the guitars weave between fuzz-laden riffs and moments of unexpected tenderness. Tracks like "Cold Love" and "See the Day" hit with that effortless, swaggering groove that made this band a household name among serious rock fans. But it's the quieter moments, like "Bird of Paradise" and the aching "Low (I Wouldn't Mind)", that reveal just how much depth and feeling these guys carry. Peace doesn't try to reinvent the wheel; it just rolls it straight through your living room with unshakeable confidence.
