Background information about 'We Are Motörhead'
This 2000 release finds Motörhead at the height of their creative powers, delivering ten tracks of pure, unfiltered rock & roll fury. The album opens with the blazing "See Me Burning" and maintains that intensity throughout, showcasing Lemmy's gravelly vocals, Philip Campbell's searing guitar work, and Mikkey Dee's thunderous drumming. The band's interpretation of the Sex Pistols classic "God Save The Queen" stands as a particularly bold statement, while tracks like "One More Fucking Time" and the title track "We Are Motörhead" cement the band's reputation as the loudest, fastest, and most uncompromising outfit in rock.
The production by Bob Kulick, Bruce Bouillet, and Duane Barron captures the raw energy that made Motörhead legendary, with every riff hitting like a sledgehammer and Lemmy's bass lines rumbling through the mix like an earthquake. Songs such as "Wake The Dead" and "Stay Out Of Jail" demonstrate the band's ability to craft memorable hooks without sacrificing their trademark aggression, while the artwork by Joe Petagno perfectly complements the sonic assault within.
For fans of: Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and AC/DC
